Richard started out as a poet of sorts, before spiralling off into his first novel and then into writing short stories. Idlicacies is an edited collection of poems written mostly in 1994 and '95 - a particularly dismal period, it appears. The rest of the poems presented here are taken from his collections of shorts. Rumour has it, there's still some of his earlier work out there somewhere. Some of it even verges on comedy.
